I really enjoyed this book, and loved the author's clear and concise presentation of her method. Her writing style is also mixed with warmth and humor, and of course beautiful pictures throughout. I originally picked up this book for some extra inspiration for decluttering and minimalist interior decorating .
The author's method follows these 5 steps: Clarify, Edit, Organize, Elevate, and Maintain. She explains each step, and then applies it different rooms and areas of the house. It was really insightful, fun to read, and extremely motivating for me-- especially the "Elevate" part. In the past I've been reluctant to make things look pretty, or "putting lipstick on a pig," but this book helped me get past that and realize "Hey, I have to look at all this stuff all day anyway! Might as well make it look nicer, even if it will eventually get renovated!"
