Here are some local resources in New Hampshire that I've found useful!
Paint & Play Classes with Miss Jen
We've been going to Miss Jen's Paint & Play class since my oldest son was a year old! Miss Jen is great with kids and has a ton of different class formats for kids of all ages. The Paint & Play class that we attend is 45 minutes of "play"/exercise, and the last 15 minutes are arts and crafts. I've found it's the perfect mix for my kids. They get some energy out, and then get to do some crafts, and I don't have to clean up! Miss Jen has other formats as well, like Little Scientists, After-School Art, and more!
This is such a fun place for kids, even toddlers! The membership is quite affordable, and we go whenever there is a rainy day. The kids can interact with a ton of exhibits, and it's great with the membership because you don't have to feel bad about only spending 45m-1hr inside.
The Bedford Mom Local Events Calendar
I don't like using Facebook, and found it really annoying to have to scroll for forever or remember a ton of FB pages to check out if I wanted to be up-to-date on fun events in the area. The Bedford Mom's event calendar is helpful and a great alternative to finding fun events in town for kids!
Dance New England - Adult Ballroom
Granite State Escape (for double- or triple-date nights!)
Handel's Messiah Concert (Dec Only)
I worked with Genna, a birth doula, at Salt Water Doulas for my 3rd baby and had a great experience! The whole process of signing up, interviewing their doulas, taking one of their Spinning Babies classes, was so easy and I felt like everyone I spoke to really cared about my wellbeing and wanted me to have the best birth experience possible.
Genna herself was great, and gave me the support and confidence that I needed to get through my 3rd baby's birth without an epidural! It was my best birth yet, and I'm actually looking forward to my next baby's births with her help!
Prenatal Massages with Anne Doll at MYPT Wellness
I found Anne through a friend, and she is an AMAZING massage therapist. She is the reason I got through my 3rd pregnancy. I have tried pre-natal massages at other places, and they were not satisfying at all (I felt like I had just paid for someone to "pet" me for an hour and it was such a waste of time and money.) But with Anne, she customizes every massage to whatever you need at the moment, and is not afraid to apply pressure where it's needed (and it's needed in a lot of places when you're pregnant!) I felt so much better, especially in the low back and hips, after every massage. 1000% recommend!
