In this section, I explore different topics and resources that are important to learn, but may not be covered in traditional school settings.

Life Skills Check-List by GSHE (Granite State Home Educators)
This is a great check-list and implementation method from GSHE to make sure you're covering all the bases when it comes to teaching your child normal-human-being, responsible-adult life skills! Of course it may be still missing a few items, but overall a great place to start and list to come back to every once in a while.
I learned about this website from a book I recently read. When I first read about it, I thought to myself We are definitely going to use this if the kids ever want to learn a third language. Soon enough, I bought my first TalkBox for Spanish after my son (at just 4 years old) kept asking me how to say things in Spanish and I kept having to answer "I have no idea!" I love the fact that it's geared towards learning together as a family, using every day situations and repetitions of real phrases in order to learn, and start speaking immediately. That's basically what I did when I started really speaking in French with my son when he was a baby.
The jury is still out whether my kids are enjoying it... my son sometimes engages when I ask "¿Tienes hambre?", but most of the time refuses to answer in Spanish--for now. More info to come once we get further along, but I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to learn a new language together with the whole family!!
