I was raised non-denominational Christian, and converted to Catholicism in 2022. After I first met my husband, who is Catholic, I decided if we were going to get married (which I had a feeling we would one day!) I would convert to Catholicism. Why? I felt, and still feel, that it is extremely important for children to be brought up in one faith, with one cohesive set of values and beliefs. I figured (at that time) that Catholicism was "close enough" to Christianity where I could see myself converting, even though I didn't know very much (basically nothing) about it at the time!
Funnily enough, before meeting my husband, I always thought Catholics were not actually Christians. But after conversations with my husband, and going to mass with him while we were dating, I came to realize that Catholics do believe in Christ, and that they weren't so weird after all!
The more I learned about Catholicism, the more it started to make sense to me-- it answered so many questions that I had with my previous faith. It would be too much to go into detail here, but maybe I'll write a Substack post about that later when I have the time!
In this section, I link to my favorite Catholic resources and websites. I hope you find them useful and inspiring!
This application has been great for getting me started on praying the rosary every day! I am still a little daunted by the thought of doing a full rosary, but doing a decade a day has been very approachable for me.
To be honest, I don't actively listen to Pints with Aquinas, BUT I have a learned a lot from the episodes though my husband paraphrasing them and talking with him about what he has learned.
I love West Coast Catholic's online store. Their rosaries are beautiful and great quality, and I love the style of their home deco and jewelry.
